I’ve been making western style laminated bows with working recurves for about ten years. Recently I laid up a couple of Ottoman style bows with fiberglass/wood laminate limbs and began learning to shoot with a thumb ring. Now I find I prefer these shorter bows and the thumb over the finger release … so here I am , to learn and to share.
