playing around with my rusty CAD skill and came out with this one, a 3D printed ‘bilek siperi’ based on drawing by Mehmet Gölhan that I saved couple years ago from the old ATARN forum… hand work is not needed for this, just click of a button and wait for the printer done it’s work… printed in ABS plastic, the same plastic used for Lego…
apparently I got left-right side of the siper to be flipped, but since this is a computer generated model, to get it corrected won’t be a hassle…
this also got me thinking if someday we can get kind of physical-reference-library of museum object by 3D scanner and printer across the globe… would be nice for people who like to build reconstruction object based on historical pieces…
