Nice looking even bend…What is the length of your bow and the desired draw length from it?
Similiar in style to the Yirzi, length approx . 140 cm,N-N,can be extended to 34 inches without staking.
Interesting…A very old design.
I was concerned that the string angle would’nt be low enough for a smooth draw.By without staking you mean without any recurve?
Good speed for a 12 grain arrow I might add.Perfect for my type of deer hunting here that I use myself.Only with draw weight into the 45 to 50 pound area @ 28" using 550 to 600 grain arrows.
Something you may not have concern about but…
A fast flight string of 1 grain per pound of drawweight would maximize the speed from a bow like this.
With bone on the tips it would show that reducing mass weight on the tips is not as important as reducing the weight of the string while eliminating stretch of the string also.
I agree, more tip angle would be better. I think it will be uncomfortable draw to get to 34".
Maybe sinew will pull more reflex and change the equation?
Looking good. It’s come a long ways. You’ve got plenty of reflex.I’m sure Jere will commend you on the look.Revealing a C shape yet.
Right out of the fades, but so be it.Maybe that’s the way these type bows are made.
Hello Edward, the shape of the bow is not as important as the ratio of thikness to width
As far as draw weight goes I agree with that assessment also.
